Integration
Products of the future must be inter-operable with other
applications. SYSPRO has invested heavily in ODBC technology so that
customers may use any ODBC-compliant software (such as Microsoft
Excel or
Access) to access
SYSPRO's data. In addition, SYSPRO is
integrated with E-mail, Fax and other office technologies of the future. SYSPRO
already supports the concept of multimedia (bitmaps, video and
sound clips).
How does the
integration work?
Open Data Base Connectivity allows any ODBC compliant
products (i.e. those in the MS Office® suite and Crystal Reports™) direct
access to non-database data files. SYSPRO has created a data
dictionary for all SYSPRO files, enabling the Transoft® USQL ODBC driver to
access our files. This has made the integration of
SYSPRO to other
applications relatively simple.
